Required Answer:

Here as we can see 130° is an exterior opposite angle

And we know:

  • Exterior opposite angle = Sum of interior opposite angles

  • 130° = x + x

  • 130° = 2x

  • 130°/2 = x

  • 65° = x

.°. value of x = 65°

Verification:

  • 130° = x + x

put value of x in this equation

  • 130° = 65° + 65°

  • 130° = 130°

  • 130° - 130°=0°

  • 0° = 0°

LHS = RHS

Hence verified!

Alternatively method :

Let angle ∠ABC = ∠1

We know:

  • ∠1 + 130° = 180°

Reason:-

Linear pair

  • ∠1 = 180° - 130°

  • ∠1 = 50°

Now as we know sum of angles of triangle = 180°

  • .°. ∠1 + x + x = 180°

  • ∠1 + 2x = 180°

  • 50° + 2x = 180°

  • 2x = 180° - 50°

  • 2x = 130°

  • x= 130°/2

  • x = 65°

.°. value of x = 65°
