Calculate the value of g at a height of 3200 km above the surface of the earth

For calculating g above the earth's surface use the equation

g*m=GMm/(R+h)²

⇒ g* = GM/(R+h)² ............. (1)

now we know from mg= GMm/R² that GM=gR²

putting in eqn 1

g*= g (R/R+h)²

R= 6400 × 10³ m; h= 3200 × 10³ m; g= 9.8 m/s²

now you can put the values and get your answer
