The resistance of 0.6061\Omega in parallel and  940\Omegain series is connected to moving coil galvanometer

Explanation:

In question given, full scale deflection of current of 50 m A not 50.

Further explanation.

Given galvanometer  resistance, G =60 ohm.

Ammeter current,i = 5 A.

I = 50 m A.

The voltage, V =50 V.

To calculate the resistance, use the formula

  R=\frac{V}{I} -G

Substitute the values, we get

R=\frac{50V}{50\times10^-^3A}-60\Omega

R=940\Omega.

Now formula to get shut resistance,

S=\frac{GI}{i-I}

substitute the values, we get

S=\frac{60\Omega\times50\times10^-^3A}{5A-50\times10^-^3A}

S=0.6061\Omega.

Thus, the resistance of 0.6061\Omega in parallel and  940\Omegain series is connected to moving coil galvanometer.
