Here the molecular mass of caco3 is 100g (Ca-40g , C-12g ,O3--16×3=48)

Molecular mass of cao is 56g

Molecular mass of co2 is44g.

So, when 100g of caco3 is taken and reacted then 44g of co2 is formed .

then by the unitary method when 500g of caco3 is then how much g of co2 is ejaculated.

100g--------44g

500g--------?

Amount of co2 liberated =(500g×44g)/100g

therefore The amount of co2 liberated is 220g.
