Answer:-

Given:

Initial Volume (V1) = 0.4 litres.

Initial Temperature (T1) = 250 K

Final Temperature (T2) = 227° C + 273 = 500° K

We know that,

Charley's law of gases states that at constant pressure the Volume of a gas is directly proportional to it's Temperature.

→ V ∝ kT (k is Constant)

→ V/T = k

→ V1 / T1 = V2 / T2

→ 0.4 / 250 = V2 / 500

→ 0.4 / 250 = V2 * 1/500

→ 0.4 / 250 * 500 = V2

→ 0.8 litres = V2

1 litre = 1000 or 10³ cc.

→ 0.8 litres = 0.8 * 1000

→ V2 = 800 cc

Therefore, the final Volume of the gas increases to 800 cc.
