Hi.

Here is your answer---

_____________________

Molecular Mass of Chlorine = 71 grams

We know,

               71 grams of Cl2 occupies a volume of 22.4 liter.
       Thus, 1 grams-----------------------------------------22.4/71 liter.
Therefore,53.5 grams-------------------------------------(22.4/71) × 53.5 liter.
                                                                              = 16.88 liter.

Thus, the volume occupied by the 53.5 grams of Chlorine is 16.88 grams.

At.s.t.p volume occupied by.

Cl2 =35.2 x 2 = 71g mol-1

71g of Cl2 at STP has mass = 22.4 lits.

∴ Vol. occupied by 53.5 g of Cl2

= 22.4 x 53.5/71.

= 1198.40/71.

= 16.87 lits.
