Given :

Mass of CO₂ = 8.8 gm

To Find :

Volume occupied by 8.8 g of CO₂ at STP

Solution :

We know, At STP, volume occupied by 1 mole of any gaseous substance is 22.4 L

1 mole of CO₂ = 44 gm of CO₂

So,

44 gm of CO₂ occupies a volume of 22.4 L

1 gm of CO₂ will occupy a volume of  \frac{22.4}{44} L

8.8 gm of CO₂ will occupy a volume of \frac{22.4}{44} × 8.8 L

                                                              =  4.48 L

Therefore, the volume occupied by 8.8 g of CO₂ at STP is 4.48 L
