we know that Br = 80

its mass would be Br2 × moles = 160 × 0.15= 80

density. = mass / volume

3.12 = 80 / volume

volume = 80 / 3.12

volume = 25.64 ml

hope it helps!

Answer: The volume of Br_2 is 7.692 mL.

Explanation:

Density is defined as the ratio of object's mass and volume.

Mathematically,

\text{Density}=\frac{\text{Mass}}{\text{Volume}}   .....(1)

To calculate the mass of bromine, we use the formula:

\text{Number of moles}=\frac{\text{Given mass}}{\text{Molar mass}}

Given mas of Br_2 = ?g

Molar mass of Br_2 = 160 g/mol

Moles of Br_2 = 0.15 mole

Putting values in above equation, we get:

0.15=\frac{\text{Mass of }Br_2}{160g/mol}\\\\\text{Mass of }Br_2=24g

Density of Br_2 = 3.12 g/mL

Putting values in equation 1, we get:

0.15g/mL=\frac{24g}{Volume}\\\\\text{Volume of }Br_2=7.692mL

Hence, the volume of Br_2 is 7.692 mL.
