molar mass of N2= 14 X2 => 28 grams per mole

Hence, 14 grams of N2 is 14/28 => 0.5 moles

1 mol of any gas at STP ( 273 K and 760 mm of Hg) has volume= 22.4 litres.

So, 0.5 moles of N2 at STP has a volume of 22.4/2 => 11.2 litres

P1= 760 mm of Hg                                   P2= 600 mm of Hg

V1= 11.2 litres                                            V2= ?

T1= 273 K                                            T2= 27 degrees C =>27+273 K =>300 K

By gas equation:

P1V1/T1 = P2V2/T2

760 X 11.2/273 = 600 X V2/300

760 X 11.2/273 = 2 X V2

V2=(760 X 11.2)/(273 X 2)

V2= 15.589 litres.

V2= 15,589 millilitres.
