Answer :

Mass of CO₂ = 220g

We have to find volume of CO₂ at STP.

_________________________________

Molar mass of CO₂ :

  • 1(12) + 2(16)
  • 12 + 32
  • 44 g/mol

Moles of CO₂ :

➝ Moles = weight/molar mass

➝ η = 220/44

η = 5

Volume of CO₂ at STP :

We know that,

Volume of 1 mol gas at STP = 22.4L

Therefore,

Volume of CO₂ at STP = 5 × 22.4 = 112L

GIVEN:- Mass of CO₂ = 220g

To Find:- We have to calculate the volume of carbondioxide (CO₂) at STP.

STEP BY STEP EXPLANATION:-

At first, we will find molar mass of C02:-

  • Molar mass of CO₂ = 1(12) + 2(16)

                                         =12 + 32

                                          =44 g/mol

∵As we know that:" no of Mole = given weight/molar mass."

∴Moles of C02=  (η)= 220/44

                          ⇒η = 5

∴Volume of CO₂ at STP = ?

As We know that, Volume of 1 mol gas at STP = 22.4L

 ∴Volume of CO₂ at STP = 5 × 22.4 = 112L

Hence, The volume of 220g carbondioxide at stp is 112L.
