Given:

Mass of H_2 = 4g

Pressure (P) = 4 atm

To find:

Volume of 4g of H_2 = ?

Formula to be used:

pV = nRT

where:

p- pressure

V - Volume

n - no. of moles

R - Constant with value 0.082

T - Temperature at STP which is 273K

Calculation:

Number of moles of H_2 (n)= \frac{given mass}{molar mass} = \frac{4}{2}=2

Substituting the values in the following formula, gives

pV = nRT

V = \frac{nRT}{P}

V = \frac{2\times 0.082\times 273}{4}

V = \frac{44.772}{4}

V = 11.193

Conclusion:

The volume of 4g of H_2 at 4 atmosphere 11.193 L.
