Solution,

Consider the volume of alcohol is x.

\[\begin{array}{l}0.95 \times 0.4x = 0.7 \times 600\\ \Rightarrow x = \frac{{0.7 \times 600}}{{0.95 \times 0.4}}\\ \Rightarrow x = 1105.26\end{array}\]

Hence the volume of alcohol is 1105.26 ml.
