Calculate the volume of a 0.01M solution of NaOH which is required to precipitate all of the iron as Fe(OH)3 which is contained in 300 ml of 0.001M solution of FeCl3.

Given: N₁ = 0.01 M, N₂ = 0.001 M

           V₁ = ? ml, V₂ = 300 ml

We know that,

N₁V₁ = N₂V₂

∴ V₁ =  N₂V₂/N₁

       = 0.001 × 300/0.01

       = 30 ml
