  • Area of the base of cylinder is 30 sq.cm

  • Height of the cylinder is 6 cm

As the base of the cylinder is in circular shape

So,

 \:\:

 \underline{\bold{\texttt{Area of circle : }}}

 \:\:

➠ πr²

 \:\:

Where ,

 \:\:

  • r = Radius of base

 \:\:

Given that the area of base of cylinder is 30 sq.cm

 \:\:

Thus ,

 \:\:

➜ πr² = 30 sq. cm. ⚊⚊⚊⚊ ⓵

 \:\:

 \underline{\bold{\texttt{Volume of cylinder :}}}

 \:\:

➠ πr²h ⚊⚊⚊⚊ ⓶

 \:\:

Where ,

 \:\:

  • r = Radius of base

  • h = Height

 \:\:

From ⓵ we got that πr² = 30 sq. cm. and given that the height of cylinder is 6 cm

 \:\:

So placing these values in ⓶

 \:\:

➜ πr²h

 \:\:

➜ 30(6)

 \:\:

➨ 180 cu. cm.

 \:\:

  • Hence the volume of the cylinder is 180 cu. cm

SOLUTION:

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

ANSWER:-

Volume of the cylinder = 180cm³

GIVEN:-

  • Area of the base is 30 sq.cm.
  • Height os the cylinder is 6cm.

TO FIND:-

Calculate the volume of the cylinder?

SOLUTION:-

Let the volume of the cylinder be v

FORMULA TO FIND VOLUME:

\boxed{ \sf V = A_B  \times h }

  •  \sf Area  \: of  \: the  \: base = A_B
  •  \sf Height = h

SOLVING BY APPLYING THE FORMULA:-

 \rightarrow \sf V = 30 \times 6

 \rightarrow  \sf V =180

\rightarrow  \boxed{\sf   \red{Volume = 180{cm}^{3} }}

Hence , The volume of the cylinder = 180cm³

KNOW MORE.......

  • A cylinder has two circular bases.
  • The height is the distance between the bases.

Formula to find height of a cylinder:

 \sf \: Height =  \frac{V}{\pi {r}^{2} }

Formula to find area of the cylinder:

 \sf Area = 2\pi {r}^{2}  + 2\pi rh

  • The bases of cylinder are circular in shape.
  • A cylinder has 3 faces and 2 edges.
