let volume of nitrogen gas is x

and volume of hydrogen gas is 3 x

x+3x = 5.1 4x = 5.1

x = 5.1/4

= 1.275

therefore volume of nitrogen gas is 1.275 g

volume of hydrogen gas is 3*1.275

= 3.825 g
