Given :

volume of oxygen required to convert 2 x 22.4 L of co_2 at N.T.P. = 22.4 L

--> volume of oxygen required to convert 2 x 22.4 L of co_2 at N.T.P. is 22.4 L

volume of oxygen required to convert 5.2 L of co_2 at

N.T.P. = 22.4/(2 x 22.4) x 5.2

= 2.6 L

--> volume of oxygen required to convert 5.2 L of co_2 at N.T.P. is 2.6 L

solution :

the balance chemical equation is =

2CO + O_2 -----> 2Co_2

2mol 1mol

2 x 22.4 L 2 x 2.6 L
