Acetylene on burning is converted to CO2 and H2O.
2C2H2+5O2 = 4CO2+2H2O
2 vol. 5 vol.
Since, 2 volume acetylene require 5 vol. O2 for combustion at S.T.P
So, 20 ml acetylene will require 5×20/2 ml=50 ml oxygen
Hope it helps
