Chemical Reaction

CH4 + O2 ---- CO2 + H2O

1 mole of CH4 requires 1 mole O2 for combustion.
then,
0.25 mole of CH4 requires 0.25 mole O2 for combustion.

therefore .

1 mole of O2 = 22.4 l of O2
then,
0.25 mole of O2 = 0.25 × 22.4 l = 5.6 l of O2
