Calculate the volume of sulphur dioxide produced by burning 16g of Sulphur in an excess of oxygen.

.S + O2 => SO2

One mole Sulphur gives one mole SO2.

16g sulphur is half mole,hence half mole SO2 is formed.

Half mole occupy 22.4/2=11.2 litres SO2
