Given:

Mass of wood

= 400 kg

= 400 × 10³ g

Density of wood

= 0.8 g/cm³

To find:

The volume of wood = ?

Solution:

As we know,

⇒  Density=\frac{Mass}{Volume}

Or,

⇒  Volume=Density\times Mass

On substituting the given values in the above formula, we get

⇒               =0.8\times 400\times 10^3

⇒               =32\times 10^4 \ cm^3

The volume of the wood will be "32 × 10⁴ cm³".
