wavelength = 4 × 10^7 nm = 4 × 10^7 × 10^-9 m

[1nm = 10^-9m (note) ]

= 4 × 10^-2m

=> wavenumber = 1/wavelength

=> wavenumber = 1/10^-2 m

\huge{\mathcal{\green{\underline{wavenumber\:=\:25/m}}}}
