Answer:

Right Answer Explanation:

x : 3

y : 100

90

10 : 90 – y

(90-y)/3 = 10/x = ………..(1)

In the second case,

x 2

y 90

84

6 84-y

Therefore (84-y)/2 = 6/x ………..(2)

Dividing (1) and (2)

=

180 – 2y = 420 – 5y

3y = 240

y = 80

x = 30/(90-80) = 30/10 = 3 kg

Quantity of zinc in x = 80% of x

= 0.8 3

= 2.4 kg

Weight and percentage of zinc is 2.4 kg or 80%
