Weight of astronaut on earth is 646.8 N and on moon is 107.58 N.

Given:

  • Mass of astronaut = 66 kg.
  • gravity on moon = ⅙ gravity on earth

To find:

  • Weight of astronaut on earth and moon?

Calculation:

As per our knowledge, the gravitational acceleration on the surface of the earth = 9.8 m/s². So, the gravitational acceleration on the surface of moon will be :

 g_{moon} =  \dfrac{1}{6}  \times 9.8 = 1.63 \: m {s}^{ - 2}

Now, weight on earth :

W_{earth} = 66 \times 9.8 = 646.8 \:N

Again, weight on moon :

W_{moon} = 66 \times 1.63 = 107.58 \:N

Hope It Helps.
