Calculate the weight of an astronaut of mass80 kg on the surface of the earth and on the surface of the moon . Also claculate the ratio of mass of astronaut on the surface of the earth and on the surface of the moon

The Moon's gravity is much less than the Earth's gravity - approximately one sixth.

weight = mass x force

So weight of the body on earth will be (80*10)= 800 N (approx)

But weight of the body on moon will (80*10)/6= 133.33 N (approx)

Mass of the body will be same as 80 kg where- ever it is.(on earth as well as on moon..)

so the ratio will be 1:1
