Answer:

H2SO4 is 1x2 + 32 + 16 x 4 = 98grams

1 Molar solution is 1 mole in 1 litre of solvent.

However H2SO4 is a strong acid and both hydrogens go into solution. So 1M of H2SO4 would form a 2M acid. Therefore to get 0.5M acid, would require 98/4 = 24.5grams in 1 litre of water.
