Answer:

120g of magnesium oxide is formed

Explanation:

the balanced equation is

2Mg+O₂ ⇒ 2MgO

by atomic mass the equation is

48g of magnesium gives 80g of magnesium oxide(ignore Oxygen)

in the question

72 g of magnesium gives X g of magnesium dioxide

so through variation method

72/48 * 80 = 120

therefore 120g of magnesium dioxide is formed

Answer:

72 gram of magnesium burn to produce 120 gram of magnesium oxide

Explanation:

2 mg   + Oxygen    gives 2 Mgo

2(24)                           2 (24+16)

48                                80

So 48 gram of Mg burn to give 80 gram of MgO

72  gram of Mg burn to give 80 x 72                           = 120 Gram

                                                 48

  • 72 gram Of Mg burn to Produce 120 Gram of magnesium Oxide.
