Answer:

2 KClO3 ====∆====> 2KCl + 3 O2

Molecular weight of KClO3= 122.5

Molecular weight of O2= 32

So (2 x 122.5)= 245 g of KClO3 on decomposition gives= 3- moles of O2.

Therefore 24.5 g of KClO3 on decomposition gives= 24.5/245 x 3 = 3/5= 0.3 moles of oxygen.

1- mole of oxygen at STP occupies =22.4 Litres.

0.3 mole of oxygen at STP occupies = 22.4 x 0.3 Litres

= 6.72 Litres
