weight=m/g

weight=(500/10) /10

weight=50/10

Weight is the attraction of a body towards the earth's centre. In other words,it is a force.

Thus,

It's mathematical expression is W=mg

From the Question,

Mass of the object,m=500g

As the given quantity is in CGS system and we require it in MKS system, mass would be 0.5Kg

Acceleration due to Gravity,g:10m/s²

Substituting the values in W=mg,

W=(0.5)(10)=5N

Thus,the weight of the object is 5N
