The work done by MAN will be positive because direction of Force applied and Displacement is same.
So, Work Done = (20)(9.8)(1) = 196 J

* Note-
Work Done by GRAVITY will be (-ve).

Work done = Change in potential energy

= mg (h₂ - h₁)

= 20 kg × 9.8 m/s² × (1 m - 0 m)

= 196 Joule

Work done to lift the load is 196 Joule
