Work Done : It is defined as work done by the body as the force exerted on the body along the direction of displacement . In mathematical form , it is represented as ,

W = F × s × cosθ

SI unit : Joule

Force exerted (F) = 15 N

Displacement (s) = 2 m

Displacement is in opposite direction of applied force , so

⇒  θ = 180° \;

Answer:

✳️ Given ✳️

  • Force (F) = 15 N
  • Displacement (s) = 2 m

✳️ To Find ✳️

  • How much work done.

✳️ Formula Used ✳️

\green\bigstar W = F × s × cos\theta \green\bigstar

Where,

  • F = applied force
  • s = object displacement while the force is applied
  • \theta = angle between applied force and displacement

✳️ Solution ✳️

Given:-

  • F = 15 N
  • s = 2 m
  • cos\theta = 180

According to the question by using formula we get,

\implies W = 15 × 2 × cos180

\implies W = 15 × 2 × (-1)

\implies W = 30 × (-1)

\dashrightarrow W = -30

\therefore Work done by the force is -30.
