We have to find the work done in blowing a soap bubble to a radius of 1 cm and the surface tension of the soap solution is 2.5 × 10⁻² N/m.

solution : radius of soap bubble , r = 1 cm = 0.01 m

surface tension  of the soap solution , T = 2.5 × 10⁻² N/m

we know, workdone in case of soap bubble is given by, W = 2T(surface area of soap bubble)

area surface of soap bubble = 4πr² = 4 × 3.14 × (0.01)² = 1.256 × 10⁻³ m²

now workdone in blowing the soap bubble , W = 2 × 2.5 × 10⁻² N/m × 1.256 × 10⁻³ m²

= 6.280 × 10⁻⁵ J

therefore the workdone in blowing the soap bubble is 6.28 × 10⁻⁵ Joule.
