Work = Force × Displacement
= 200 × cosine of angle × displacement
= 200 × 4.5 × cos180°
= 200 × 4.5 × (-1)
= - 900 Joules
here -ve sign indicates that work is done in the direction opposite to the force.

Displacement , s = 4.5 meter

Force , F = -200 N

Work Done = F x s
= 4.5 x -200
= -900 Joules

The work done is Negative.
Work done is negative when force and displacement are in the opposite directions.
