Calculate the work required to be done to stop a car of 1200Kg moving at a speed of 54 km/h.

Work done= 1/2mv^2=1/2(1200)(15)^2=600(225)=135000J.
(54km/h=54000m/3600s=15m/s.) as kinetic energy of the car is equal to the work done in stopping the car.
