Calculate thr amount of heat required to raise the temperature of 700g of iron from 40degrees celcius to240 degrees celcius ( specific heat of iron = jkg-1°c-1)

You didn’t mentioned value of specific of heat iron.
I’m taking it as 0.444 J/(g °C)

Q = mS∆t
= 700 g × 0.444 J/(g °C) × (240°C - 40°C)
= 6216 joules
= 6.216 kJ

Amount of heat required is 6.216 kJ
