Given:

  • Number of molecules of oxygen = 6.022 × 10²²

To find:

  • Volume of oxygen ?

Solution:

As we know that 1 mole of oxygen has occupies 22.4L at STP & 1 mole = 6.023 × 10²³ or 6.022 × 10²³

Now ,

6.022 × 10²³ molecules → 22.4L of O2

6.022 × 10²² molecules → ?

By cross multiplying

→ 22.4 ×( 6.022 × 10²²) = ? × 6.022 × 10²³

→ 22.4(6.022 × 10²²)/6.022 × 10²³ = ?

→ 22.4/10 = ?

→ Volume of 6.022 × 10²² molecules of oxygen = 2.4L

Hence , volume of 6.022 × 10²² molecules of oxygen = 2.4L
