Answer:

1.26L & 3.6kg

Explanation:

CH4 + 2O2 ~ CO2 + 2H2O

i.e, (1mol + 2mol ~ 1mol + 2mol)

now....

MW (CH4) = 16g

Mass = 900g

moles( Methane) n = Mass/MW = 900/16 = 225/4

from equ'n....

1 mol CH4 gives 1mol CO2

i.e,1 mol CH4 gives 22.4L CO2

hence 225/4 CH4 gives 22.4 × 225/4 L of CO2

therefore CO2 = 1260 = 1.26L

***********

MW (O2) = 32

from equ'n....

1 mol CH4 requires 2mol O2

i.e, 1 mol CH4 requires 2×32g of O2

then 225/4 mol CH4 requires 225×2×32/4 of O2

therefore O2 = 3600 = 3.6kg
