let the work done be x

the increase in potential from 140 V to 250 V = 250 - 140 = 110

amount of charge exerted = 5 C

we know that Potential Difference (V) = work done (J) / Charge applied (C)

110 V = X / 5 C

110 × 5 = X

550 J = X

therefore, 550 joules of work needs to be done when 5 Coulomb of charge is applied to move a potential of 140 V to 250 V.

Charge=5c
Pd=250-140=110
Va-Vb=Wab/q
110=Wab/5
Wan=550
