• $AB = 15$
• $BC = 15$

$and \: \: D \: \: is \: the \: point \: of \: intersction \: of \\\: altitude \: and \: side \: BC$

• $AD = 12$

We know that;

AD is the altitude,hence is makes 90° with BC.

BY PYTHAGORAS THEOREM;

${AC}^{2}={AD}^{2}+{DC}^{2}$

${15}^{2}={12}^{2}+{DC}^{2}$

${DC}^{2}=225-144$

$DC=\sqrt{81}$

$\color{orange}\therefore DC=9$

Similarly;

$AD=9$

But;

$x=AD+DC$

$\implies x=9+9$

$\color{orange}{\boxed{\therefore x=18}}$
