Answer:

18 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

IN THIS FIGURE THERE ARE RIGHT ANGLE TRIANGLES

BY PHYTAGORAS THEOREM

HYPOTENUSE ²=SIDE²+SIDE²

HYPOTENUSE=15

ONE SIDE(S1)=12

THE OTHER SIDE(S2)=?

15²=12²+(S2)²

225=144+(S2)²

(S2²)=225-144

(S2)²=81

S2=√81

S2=9 cm

FROM THE FIGURE WE UNDERSTAND THAT THESE TWO RIGHT ANGLE TRIANGLES ARE IDENTICAL.

THEREFORE THE SIDE OF THE OTHER TRIANGLE IS ALSO 9cm

x=S2+S2

=9+9

x=18 cm
