Answer: Percentage yield for the reaction is 50%.

Explanation:-

2KHCO_3\rightarrow K_2CO_3+CO_2+H_2O

According to avogadro's law, 1 mole of every substance weighs equal to the molecular mass and contains avogadro's number 6.023\times 10^{23} of particles

According to stochiometry:

2 moles of KHCO_3 produce 1 mole of CO_2

2mol\times 100g/mol=200g of KHCO_3 produce 1mol\times 44g/mol=44g of CO_2

Thus 1000 g of KHCO_3 should produce \frac{44g}{200g}\times 1000g=220g of CO_2

Thus theoretical yield of CO_2 is 220 g.

But Experimental yield is 110 g.

{\text {percentage yield}}=\frac{\text {Experimental yield}}{\text {Theoretical yield}}\times 100\%

{\text {percentage yield}}=\frac{110g}{220g}\times 100\%=50\%

Hence percentage yield for the reaction is 50%.
