By its atomic number : suppose if an element have atomic number=11
Then its E.C.= 2,8,1 and its valency wiill be one.
Suppose an element have atomic number =17
Then its EC= 2,8,7
Then its valency will be 8-7=1
Then its E.C.= 2,8,1 and its valency wiill be one.
Suppose an element have atomic number =17
Then its EC= 2,8,7
