Verbally describe what each ordered pair in the first row of your table (when s = 1) means in terms of the situation. Use complete sentences in your answer.

DO NOT ANSWER: An ordered pair is a simple way of keeping track of two numbers by writing them in a specific order. Learn about ordered pairs and how they are. ... Writing all that out verbally is a hassle.

→ For A,

p = $ 65s + $ 1300 (as he earns $ 65 for each sale and commission of $ 1300)

→ For B,

p = $ 40s + $ 300 (His commission is $ 40 for each sale and a salary of $ 300)

→ For C,

p = $ 900 (which is constant, So p for C is not a function of s, and will represent a straight line parallel to x - axis which is s.)

Now plot these lines in the p-s curve by putting different values of s and corresponding values of p.

Graph the three equations you just wrote for each salesman if they have between 0 and 20 sales in a week. Graph all three equations on the same graph . Make sure you label each line with the salesman it represents, as well as label the axes.

Note: The independent variable is s, and the dependent variable is p.
