Given :-

Calorific value of wood = 900 KJ/kg

Heat energy = 1800 KJ

To Find :-

Wood required to produce the heat energy.

Analysis :-

Here we are given the calorific value and the heat energy.

In order to find the wood required, substitute the values such that wood required is equal to heat energy divided by calorific value of the wood.

Solution :-

According to the question,

\underline{\boxed{\sf Wood \ required=\dfrac{Heat \ energy}{Calorific \ value} }}

Given that,

Heat energy = 1800 KJ

Calorific value = 900 KJ/kg

Substituting their values,

⇒ 1800/900

⇒ 2 kg

Therefore, 2 kg of wood is required to produce 1800 KJ of heat energy.

Answer:

Given :-

  • Calorific value of wood = 900 KJ/Kg
  • Heat energy = 1800 KJ

To Find :-

Total wood required

SoluTion :-

Here, Calorific value is given and heat energy to be produced is given and we have to find wood required.

Point to be noted :-

Here to find wood it has used much. Therefore it cannot be in number. So, we will find its weight.

Calculation

 {\boxed{\boxed{ \sf \: wood \: required \:  =  \frac{heat \: energy}{Calorific \: value}  }}}

 \sf \: wood \: required \:  =  \dfrac{1800}{900}

 \huge \bf \: wood \: required \:  = 2 \: kg
