the calotropis and capparis both plants are found in semi arid environment usually present in tropical and sub tropical zones.mostly found in saline semi deserts where environmental conditions are quite moderate but they have to bear extreme salinity. so caloptris and capparis are ecologically grouped under halophytes. your correct option is (d).

The correct answer is (b) xerophytes

Calotropis and Capparis are non-succulent perennials. Both suffer from dryness in internal and external environments. So, they are true xerophytes or drought-resistants.

Both possess several similar morphological, physiological and anatomical features to withstand severe drought conditions. These are rapid elongation and extensive root system.  They can endure high osmotic pressure and have low level of transpiration rate. They also have small leaf blades and cells and long root hairs.

Hope it helps!
