No. Of moles =

 \frac{given \: weight}{gram \: molecular \: weight \: of \: compound}

Given weight = 0.5g

Molecular weight of water (H2O) = 2 + 16 = 18g

Hence no. Of moles = 0.5 / 18

= 1/36
