Calulate the number of moles present in 50 grams of NaCl.

We know that,
No. of moles = Given mass / Molar mass
so,
= 50 g / (atomic mass of Sodium + atomic mass of Chlorine)
= 50 g / (23 + 35.5)
= 50 g / 58.5
= 0.854 moles
