After Samanth ate the fraction is

2/8=1/4

After they both ate the remaining fraction is

1-(2/8+3/8)

=1-5/8

=3/8

Answer:

Samantha ate 1/4 of the whole pizza

3/8 part of pizza remains.

Step-by-step explanation:

Total number of slices in a pizza pie = 8

Number of slices Cameron ate = 3

Number of slices Samantha ate = 2

Fraction of pizza Samantha ate =  number of slices Samantha ate / total number of slices in a pizza pie

Fraction of pizza Samantha ate = 2/8

2/8 = 1/4

Samantha ate 1/4 of the whole pizza pie

Number of pieces totally eaten = Number of slices Cameron ate + Number of slices samantha ate

Number of pieces totally eaten = 5

Number of pieces remaining = 8-5

Number of pieces remaining =3

Fraction of pieces left = number of pieces remaining / total number of slices in a pizza pie

Fraction of pieces left in the pizza = 3/8
