Camphor disappears without leaving any residue.explain?

Because it sublimates. It directly goes into vapour form without going into liquid.

Camphor shows the property of sublimation.

i.e camphor do not have a liquid phase, It directly changes form solid to gas.

Camphor have a structural property that, Once the bond between camphor molecule breaks, It no longer sustain enough energy to stay together and show liquid property hence immediately it changes into vapour.
