without mass their will be no weight because
w=mg
w= 0kg.9.8m/s2
w=0N
there will be no weight if there is no mass

gauravak9536: As I think it is not possible because weight is the product of mass and gravity .and if mass is zero then , the weight must be zero

Hi Friend!!

we all know that Weight is directly proportional to mass and acceleration due to gravity.
We can write it mathematically as, weight= mass X gravity
                                                             w=mg
Now, let us assume that the body is massless. So mass = 0
we know the value of 'g' on earth = 9.8m/s^2

So, w= (0 X 9.8 )N
          =0N
thus, the weight automatically becomes 0 N
Hence, it is clearly not possible for a body to have no mass but still have weight!!

hope that clears your doubt?!
