DISTANCE:- Total path covered by a body from the initial position to the final position is called distance.
whereas,
DISPLACEMENT:- THE SHORTEST DISTANCE BETWEEN THE TWO POINTS IS CALLED AS DISPLACEMENT.
Now, look at the image that I have attached.
The body starts form the initial position and again reached to it initial position as final position.
So, if there is circular motion, then distance will be some whole number whereas , displacement will be zero.
